I’m just curious, were “anting-anting” (amulets? talisman?) really did help the Cebuano Katipuneros? Or carrying such things just boost their confidence to fight.

I remember a friend in college who told me about “anting-anting” to win a girl’s heart. He swore, “anting-anting” really works. Another one, he said was used to protect him from enemies. In “fact” it was used by his Lolo who “also fought against Spaniards”. I doubt the authenticity of his story though.

Has someone preserved the “anting-antings” used by Kilat Katipuneros? I hope to see one.
